.Wacky Words for Your Weekend.

As I lay in bed last night I felt something in my eye. I started blinking rapidly, and I exclaimed to Jim Oh no, I think I have an eye-winker in my eye! Sure enough I did, and I was able to blink it out. After I had settled down I turned to Jim and noticed him looking at me with a strange look on his face.

What? I said.

I just think it's so cute that you say eye-winker. He laughed.

This was not the first time that I had been alerted to the fact that I have a vocabulary littered with wacky words, however it was the first time that I realized that eye-winker is indeed a wacky word. We laughed together and talked through some of those words, and then Jim suggested the idea of writing a few of them here - so here I am.

And here are a few of my wacky words - feel free to practice incorporating them into your vocabulary today. {wink}

eye-winker - an eyelash that is no longer attached to ones eyelid.

humdrummer - the vegetable drawer/cripser in a refrigerator.

orts - any kind of leftover meal.

zitty - a word used to describe static on a television, telephone, or radio.

Do you use any wacky words?

LOL! My husband makes fun of me for doing this all the time so this post just made me crack up out loud-I will have to remember some of these.
His favorite one of mine is "grobel"-the meaning for this word is your know those little hard weird pieces that you find in ground beef that you can't chew (these really gross me out too by the way) it is like fat or something I guess-some people call it gristle I am told but I like my word better.
Thanks for the giggle!
Happy Saturday

Ha ha, thanks' for the laughs. Lately, due to my mid-life crisis, I use "thingy" a lot:

Thingy - the word you call something when you forget what it's called.

Have a great day!

Wow, I've never heard of any of those!

I call a shopping cart a "buggy" and I use "whopperjawed" to describe something that isn't symmetrical, but that's all I can think of.

HA! I love your wacky words!! :-)
Did you start saying them yourself or did your family say them?
It's so funny what different families come up with. I know I probably have some wacky words, I just can't think of any right now.
