By the sewing bug!
I made Cadi another dress today.
I like the flower in the back, but Cadi likes it in the front. She wins. She is the one wearing it. {grin}
This dress was made from Jim's old dress shirt. The lace was off of old sheets of ours. (The sheets I used to paint our yard sale adoption sign here.)
Re-purposing is really fun, and sewing is not sooo bad. {wink}
(This idea came from the tutorial here. I am loving this site!)

I so wish I could sew! :o)
The dress is soooo cute! I love the fabric and lace!
What a clever idea! I can't sew to save my life, but I have a friend I'll be ringing to duplicate it for my babe.
That is so precious! What a wonderful talent you have!
I loooooove this! :)
love this and thanks for the link! I always joke that I like to sew things you don''t wear. lol (valances, blankets, etc) Maybe I can do this. =0)
Oooh -- another too cute and so tempting dress. :) In looking at the tutorial, I think I'm going to have to give it a whirl, but even further simplify it. If you don't cut the side seems and instead just run an elastic through the top part, I think you could essentially make a pillowcase dress -- finishing it exactly the same as you did, having a bit fuller dress at the bottom, and saving yourself 2 seams. I absolutely love it!
