.Momentous Monday.

Momentous Monday was born out of my desire to capture and remember the moments that are truly momentous in our life. Sometimes you have to look for them, even though most of the time, they are right under our nose. Click here to learn more.

One of the most momentous moments in my mommyhood experience took place this week. Late Saturday evening, Cadi accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. To say it was momentous is an understatement. Jim and I are rejoicing to have our prayers be answered. Prayers that we have prayed long before we even met our beautiful daughter.

I actually happened on Cadi sitting on the kitchen floor this week. When I looked over her shoulder I saw she was looking through The Jesus Storybook Bible again. It has been incredible to witness Jesus drawing her to Himself.

This is why I homeschool.

Not because she learned how to read this year.

Not because her penmanship has improved.

Not because she knows about letters and sounds and numbers and seasons.

I homeschool because of the eternal impact God is allowing me to have on my children.

I cannot even count the number of days this year that the Holy Spirit whispered to my heart tell her the story of Jesus, again.

I am so glad that I did not get boxed in by curriculum and crafts and papers everyday this year.

I am so glad that I allowed the Holy Spirit to lead in such a way.

I pray that I allow that for the remainder of my childrens' education here at home.

What I will remember most about Cadi's preschool year did not take place in our school room at our school table with a pencil or a book or a work sheet. What I will remember the most took place, not even on a "school day". It happened on our bed, with both Daddy & Mommy once again reading the story of Jesus. It is a memory I will remember until the day I die. To know that I will share eternity with Cadi....there are no words.

Now our prayers focus on Scotty and our new baby for salvation, and our prayers for Cadi change as we pray for her to grow in Jesus.

Tiffany,

I don't think there's any other moment that can measure up to that one! That is WONDERFUL! I know exactly how you feel. Both of my children asked Jesus in their heart right here at home! Colt was 7 and Joy was 5. I know the same will be with Luke because we've already been praying about that as we did with all our children before they were even born!

And I'm with you on everything you said about homeschooling! :)
