.Precious in His Sight.

Day in and day out, he awakes and still he is alone. Oh, the room is filled with others, but in his heart he knows aloneness like the back of his hand.

Who will sing the lullabies over your crib each night?

Who will pray for your safety, your growth, your future?

What if you fall? Is there no one who can swoop you up and kiss the tears away?

No one cheers you on as you attempt to reach the next milestone.

There is no celebration for those tentative first steps on chubby little feet.

How can it be that the words Mommy and Daddy are foreign to your vocabulary?

Your heart longs for something you have no control over.

Family.

147 million.

147 million children will close their eyes today with no lullaby sung over them, no prayers prayed for them, no parents dreaming of them.

But they are precious in His sight.

They were made in the likeness of their Creator.

Jesus loves the little children.
All the children of the world.
Red and yellow, black, brown, white.
They are precious in His sight.
Jesus loves the little children of the world.

They are no different than our children whom we tuck into safe, little beds, and carry snug in our arms.

No, we cannot do everything.

But we must do something.

Psalm 82:3-4 Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy;deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

Right now God has asked me to be the mommy to one. He has also asked me to defend and advocate for those who cannot defend or advocate for themselves....

for they truly are precious in His sight.

It's time to start living like we believe that.
